Industries are the backbone of our economy. India has a vast and large industrial setup, which is still growing. In today times, when technology and science are in their prime, people often overlook the significance of Vaastu Shastra. Especially in our country (India), which is the origin of this traditional architecture. Our ancestors knew the good it can bring, and hardships it can lead to if ignored. In simple language, Vaastu Shastra is an ancient science of architecture that transcends time and is still beneficial to everyone irrespective of their nationality, religion, and so on.
Vaastu Shastra influences aspects of one’s life through their homes, offices, and many times the characteristics of their personality and behavior. On numerous occasions, even scientists have agreed and respect the designs of Vaastu Shastra. The industry as the backbone of a country and the bread and butter of an individual can be benefitted from this ancient science of architecture in many ways.
How directions should be planned for an industrial premise construction.
We all know that there are four directions: North, East, South, and West. Vaastu Shastra also considers all them while also giving equal importance to four more: North-east, North-west, South-east, and South-west. There are a total eight directions in Vaastu Shastra. Vaastu has different aspects and advice as per the product and service you are in, but the few basics and general notions are:
1. North- It is considered among the most favorable directions. To be blessed by this direction, the area here should always be more open, beautiful, light & less burdened. It is advisable to maintain an accounting office, reception, open space (lawn), parking area, or liquid storage here.
2. South- In Vaastu Shastra, directions aren’t like opposites. The south is the bank of all the energies coming from the north. So it is advisable to keep a close area here, strong walls shall be built in this region. Thus the energy is stored and maintained. That’s the reason the main office, heavy machinery, transformer, and pantry are kept here.
3. East- It is among the most powerful directions of all. After the north, it has also to be kept open to receive all the positivity and the power. It is also a direction of growth. Heavy walls, toilets, doors, and more should be prevented on this side, as they might bring stagnation to life. An administrative office, open lawn, and parking can be made here.
4. West- This is the direction of stability. Like the south, it stores all the energy entering from the east. So there shouldn’t be openings or even entry forms here. As the sun rises in the east and sets in the west, so the energy is gained by the east and stored in the west; that’s why the owner’s office, staircase, raw material, and machinery are kept here.
5. North-East- This is a divine and sensitive direction. Most of Vaastu Shastra’s principles are in this direction. A toilet is a blunder while it’s the best place to have a prayer room. Other than the prayer room, it can have a laboratory, open area or lawn, research and development, and bore-well.
6. South-East- It is the warmest and hot of all the directions. Fire-related places should be in the south-east. In this direction, anti-fire elements like water & air should be kept after precautions. Boilers, furnaces, electrical control, or labor quarters can be held here.
7. South-West- It is another critical direction. The correct usage of it can create wonders for your business, while the opposite can be destructive. This is the storage of energies from the north-east. The operator’s office, staircase, and machinery are among the most suitable plans for this direction.
8. North-West- It is the direction of stability, so the right use of it can result in smooth and long business, while wrong use can lead to shutdowns, strikes, and many more instabilities in the business. This direction is known for creating excellent opportunities and the worst threats for business. Finished goods, grinding machines, toilets, generators, and parking are the best options for this direction.
So now we know that north, east and north-east are the medium of energy, while south, west, and south-west are the corresponding storage areas for this energy. South-east is for the fire while north-west is for stability. Other than this, there are two more directions, which are space (sky) and patal (underground), for information about them, one has to meet an expert.
